Cat Miller is a director, writer, and adaptor. She is the recipient of a Drama League fall fellowship, a finalist for the Edes Foundation Prize for emerging artists; a former directing resident at Playwrights Horizons; and a member of Lincoln Center Directors Lab. Select directing credits include: This Lingering Life by Chiori Miyagawa (HERE), Dipika Guha’s I Enter the Valley at Atlantic Theater Company (reading), The Exonerated by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen (Next Theater), Janine Nabors’ Letters to Kurt (Keen Company), All the Happy People (Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Assistant director credits on Broadway include Larry David’s Fish in the Dark, John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, and Stephen Adly Guirgis’ The Motherfucker With the Hat, all with director Anna D. Shapiro. She directed her original adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale for her MFA thesis at Northwestern University and is currently co-writing two pieces with Caroline Prugh. Their play You Will Never Read This (also directed by Cat) was performed this summer at The Tank.
